This Boston-based biotech firm utilized LINTEC’s digital window graphics for the glass dividers between their cubicles and the walls of their conference rooms. They chose a gradient frosted design to offer increased privacy in an otherwise wide-open glass office environment while still indicating to passersby whether a workspace or conference room is occupied. They also included a decorative helix design in the middle of the frosted effect, not only for the aesthetic boost it offers, but as a nod to the double helix shape of DNA in reference to their place in the biotechnology field.

Window Graphics For Privacy Can Also Be an Office Design Breakthrough

These films were printed using LINTEC’s product E-2100 ZC, a scratch-resistant and optically clear polyester window film. Thanks to printing technology advancements of recent years, Deco Film Depot, a LINTEC partner based in Plymouth, MA, was able to print this white frosted gradient on an EFI UV inkjet printer.

Thanks to the excellent installation job that was executed for these films, their optical clarity shines through, giving the impression that the glass itself is frosted. In reality, the glass is being decorated and protected from abrasions and damages by this durable scratch-resistant film. Unlike expensive glass treatments, this frosting effect is removable, and if the biotech firm ever decides to change out their window decorations, they can do so easily without leaving any adhesive residue behind.

By installing customized digital window graphics on their cubicle dividers and conference room walls, this biotech firm was able to incorporate both function and fashion into their workspace with one cost-effective product that requires minimal commitment.
