Are you about to install vibrant branding across a retail storefront? Ready to design interior decor for a sunny conference room glass wall? Color longevity will be a big deal. The last thing you want is for your window graphics to literally fade into the background.

ECO-2200ZC is LINTEC of America’s newest answer — a window film to block UV rays. We designed this eco-friendly 100% recycled PET film for long-term protection of digitally printed graphics from harmful sunlight. You can maintain the complete optical clarity of virgin polyester film, help the environment, and print stunning graphics that withstand harsh sun exposure.

This latest addition to our ECO Series builds on our commitment to sustainable performance. We’ve paired the fully recycled facestock material with a smart adhesive layer that contains the UV-blocking component. Together, they produce a crystal-clear film face that keeps your printed designs vivid, crisp, and protected for the long haul.

Why Block UV If It’s Going Indoors?

A common misconception about indoor window graphics is that they’re immune to sun damage. Indoor sunlight exposure in west-facing windows or sun-drenched lobbies, however, can definitely lead to premature fading of both an unprotected film and the printed ink of your graphic.

UV-blocking window film offers a straightforward solution. By filtering out harmful UV rays, these films extend the life of printed visuals. Longer-lasting prints, in turn, reduce your need for early replacements and support a generally cleaner, more attractive installation throughout its life cycle. Clients love low maintenance. And who’s going to complain about longer-lasting brilliance for your prints? It’s a win for everyone.

UV Protection in the Adhesive, Not the Film

Traditional films may have UV inhibitors embedded directly in the polyester. This can impact the clarity and quality of the material. So, with ECO-2200ZC, we instead chose to incorporate the UV-blocking agent into the adhesive layer itself. This makes it possible to achieve 100% optical clarity, even in 100% recycled facestock, while also providing valuable UV protection.

The crystal-clear film surface gives printers a clean surface for vibrant color laydown and high-resolution detailing. There’s no hazy tint or distortion. It also avoids the slightly amber or bluish cast that some UV-protective films carry.

Anywhere true-to-design color accuracy is non-negotiable — high-end retail, architectural interiors, or corporate glass surfaces, for example — ECO-2200ZC delivers the goods.

Where Should I Use UV-Blocking Films?

Remember that the UV-blocking adhesive is there to protect the graphic, not block heat or black out a window. Your best use cases will be places you want to extend the lifespan of your work in sunny environments, such as:

  • West- and south-facing retail windows that get strong afternoon sun
  • Office interiors with large glass panels that allow sunlight in year-round
  • Hospitality spaces, like hotel atriums or restaurants, where ambiance and aesthetics rely on clear, sharp visuals
  • Healthcare or educational environments that want eco-friendly messaging graphics to last through changing seasons

In all of these settings, ECO-2200ZC gives designers and specifiers a premium material choice that balances sustainability with high performance. Pitch it as “insurance for your graphics”...an invisible layer of UV defense that keeps signage sharp and reduces reprints down the road. If your primary concern is controlling heat or reducing glare, you’ll want to look instead to some sort of solar control film or privacy film.

You don’t have to make your choice purely on function, though. ECO-2200ZC is also highly suitable for any time you have clients asking for durability + sustainability in a single spec. It can be great for offering eco-conscious clients the added value of recycled material in their sunniest applications, too.
